Hugh Roberts was well known and well loved in Edinburgh and the Lothians. A mainstay of the Boggs Country Dance Club and other clubs of the district, he helped and encouraged a great many dancers and spectators alike. He was always smiling and joking and was a great ambassador for the world of Scottish Country Dancing. Hugh died in August 2001. He will be remembered with great affection by those who knew him. This dance is devised in his honour.
