From the dance notes: The title of this dance comes from two famous edges in the Lake District, Striding Edge on Helvellyn and Sharp Edge on Saddleback. Both edges provide interesting routes to the summits of the fells. The name of the dance could be condensed to “Striding Sharply”!"
