The original name was “Albert’s Welcome to Potten End”. The deviser has since shortened the name to “Albert’s Welcome”, but the old name will still often appear in records.
This dance is dedicated to Albert Williams who as President from 1985-1987, and with the support of his wife Molly, contributed much to the Berkhamsted Strathspey & Reel Club. The dance depicts friendship and social cheerfulness.
