Inspiration for the dance was the tune of the same name written by Fred Moyes. Fred wrote the music for the Seattle Branch when he visited in February 1998. He came to buy an accordion and he played for a Branch monthly party while here.
The alternate name for the dance is “Looking For a Latte”, a reference to Seattle’s reputation as the “Latte Capital of the Universe”.
