Stella Fogg devised “Dear David” after she overheard someone tell Mary,
“David was such a dear man”. Mary’s face lit up, and she agreed that
David was a “very dear man,” who was also a superb teacher whose
patience with beginners was amazing, and a tireless promoter of Scottish
Country Dancing. Stella first met David and Mary in Hawaii in the
mid-seventies and through the years they became close friends.
