Dance interpreted by John Drewry, August 2002. An interpretation of instructions which were sent to me by Jackie Johnstone of Dumfries. They were sent to him by someone in Vancouver B.C.
Included were two tunes:
“Mrs Cuthbert of Selkirk”, a strathspey composed by Nancy Dickson, and
A Reel which is the original tune for “The Duke of Perth”.
The interpretation is made more difficult because, in the diagram, squares seem to be used ot represent men and circles to represent the women, which is the opposite of the usual practice.
