This dance is dedicated to Sam Shore, a long-time friend of Hamilton Branch, who was a tireless supporter of the Lancaster restoration project.
In 2003, the only operational WW II Lancaster bomber in the world was to be found in the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum located in Hamilton. A British film crew used this plane to produce a documentary marking the 60th Anniversary of the famous Dam Buster Operation.
In 2004 the plane was featured in a CBC docu-drama,
The Thirteenth Mission
, telling the wartime story of the Lancaster Bomber.
