In the late seventies while visiting Toronto during April, I attended the annual ball of the St Catherines’ RSCDS Branch at the Sheraton Hotel which overlooks the Niagara Falls. The music was provided by Stan Hamilton & his Scottish Dance Band. The views of the falls were very spectacular, even more so, as the winter’s ice was still cascading over the edge and disappearing down into the seemingly permanent cloud of spray / mist that envelops the lower regions of the falls.
