Заметки
South of Melbourne, there is a small island called Philip Island, where spectators gather at dusk to observe the “landing” of the fairy penguins. Initially, there are numerous shadows in the surf that laps the beach. Suddenly, one or two penguins literally pop onto the beach to check that it is all clear. Seemingly, at some pre-arranged signal, hordes of penguins swarm onto the beach and, ignoring the seated spectators, dash rapidly to their burrows in nearby sand dunes.
