The notes say “This dance was written to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee (60th anniversary) of the Newcastle and District Branch of the RSCDS. It starts with a diamond poussette and finishes with six dancers in a circle. I would like to thank the Lanchester dance group for helpful comments as the dance was being finalised.”
