Devised by Irene van Maarseveen, Pretoria, October 2004. S C D - Strathspey for Cooks Dauth; also widely used as an abbreviation for Scottish Country Dancing. In Pretoria, the two have long been almost synonymous. Cooks helped found the Pretoria Branch of the RSCDS in 1972 having become the first RSCDS-qualified teacher in Pretoria. This dance could be used to introduce a reel of 4 to inexperienced dancers.
