Note in Carola Fischer’s original instructions: NB. It is up to the dancing couple how far down they dance down and in which place they dance out between the standing men. Where there is more than one set, the dancing couple may dance out through the gap in the men’s side in the set below.
Devised by Carola Fischer for Hans Prade on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Hans used to be a keen glider and my father nick-named him „The Aviator“. Hans once had the wonderful experience of being joined by a buzzard which took advantage of the thermal, flying at his wingtip and mirroring his movements. This dance depicts Hans taking off, banking round, enjoying his flight with the buzzard and then landing again safely. May the movements of this dance bring back those happy memories!
