From the dance description:
The dance was devised in June 2009 by Jon Allen-Friend of Glenview Scottish Country Dancers, Toronto, who is a regular visitor to the Berkhamsted Strathspey & Reel Club’s dances. The two clubs are twinned. Berkhamsted is sometimes called ‘Berko’ for short, and the spelling Berkeau in the dance name is a play on the French-Canadian connection.
