The 15th Bluebonnet Ball was held on March 31, 2012. Our excellent musicians–Mara Shea from North Carolina on the fiddle, and Dave Wiesler form Delaware on piano. This dance, Cold Quarry Jig, was devised by John Roby and is danced to an original tune by Dave Wiesler. See dance description below.

1-4 1s cross and cast; 2s step up on 3-4
5-8 1s petronella right and set, while corners set and change by RH along the sides, facing out ends of set to start the reel
9-14 Six bar reel of three across the dance with 1s giving left shoulder to corner on the left (second corner position)
15-16 1s petronella right
17-20 1s turn 3/4 RH to end woman between 2s and man between 3s
21-24 1s petronella right and set, while corners cross by the RH facing away to start the reel
25-30 Six bar reel of three along the sides with 1s giving left shoulder to corner on the left (first corner position)
31-32 All cross RH to finish 3,1,2 on own sides
