When camping in Scotland as a child, we visited a remote place called Brown Bridge. My father, being of a romantic nature, told me it was really called Brig O’ Broon (no prizes for guessing which musical he had in mind!). The name has always stuck with me and I intend one day to return to the place I will always think of as Brig O’Broon.
