This dance was devised by David Horsman in January 2012 to celebrate the life of Dave Mitchell, past treasurer at RSCDS Cheshire Branch and President and webmaster of Northwich and District Scots’ Society, who died suddenly on 20th December 2011. The back-to-back formation is denoted by the letter D in Pilling notation, hence “D” for “David” to start the dance. NB the first version of this dance had 2nd couple enter the reels in bars 5-12 right shoulder to 1st corners. The deviser later changed this to left shoulders as published in the Cheshire 40th anniversary book.
