Inspired by Thelma’s comment to Nicole: “I’ll be your shadow”. Nicole was a little girl of about 7 at the time who came to dancing with her grandfather. One evening, to help Nicole cope with a more difficult dance, Thelma became her dancing shadow, guiding her through her part by dancing closely behind her.
