Notes from Dunedin Book 6:
The dance was devised by Jen Wood in recognition of the 200th anniversary of the death of Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood on 7th March 1810. Collingwood was known to carry acorns to plant on country walks, in the hope of ensuring that the navy would always have a supply of oak for building ships.
