Dedicated to Mike Pagella, a valued and popular member of the Peterborough RSCDS, when he was appointed consultant on the installation of air traffic control equipment at an airfield In Turkmenistan. This dance was first danced at Mike’s farewell party and tries to represent some aspects of airport life and flying.
Bars 1-8: aims to show the general movement of people at an airport from point “A” to point “B”.
Bars 9-16: the scene in the concourse, farewells being said whilst others are milling around.
Bars 17-24: the movement of the planes on and around the.airfield.
Bars 25-28: good air traffic control avoids head on collisions.
Bars 29-32: the safe landing of a plane on the runway.
