Melanie’s Reel
A 32 bar reel for 3 couples in a 4 couple set
1 - 8 1C and 2C dance the Chain Progression, 1C finish facing out.
9 - 16 1C cast to their right round 3rd corner and dance towards each other up and down the dance, turn right hand one and a half times to finish facing each other, pull right shoulder back and finish back to back, 1L facing up, 1M facing down.
17 – 24 1C dance Double Triangles; on bars 23 and 24, 1L rotates around to face down, 1M does a
quarter rotation to finish in the middle in 2nd place, with his partner on his right.
25 – 32 1C with nearer hands joined, dance down the middle; on bars 28 and 29, 1L dances under
her partners arm, 1M dancing below his partner and 1C dance up to 2nd place own side.
Repeat from 2nd place
