Hi All, I wrote this dance for a performance related to the Commonwealth Games which fell through, so I’ll share it here in case anyone is interested in giving it a try. The Flame From Delhi Square set 4x32R 1-8 Grand chain all round (1 bar per hand) 9-10 Turn ¾ RH to bring women into the middle 11-12 Women dance LH across half way while men dance one place clockwise 13-14 Turn ½ RH to bring men into the middle 15-16 Men dance LH across half way while women dance one place clockwise. Men finish back to back in the middle facing partner, one place ACW around set. 17-20 Highland setting 21-24 Tulloch turn RH, opening out into 25-28 Circle round to the left 29-32 All dance into the middle, pull back right shoulders, dance out and chase round to complete the circle. * Finish in the order 2, 3, 4, 1 ready to start again This mimics the Delhi Commonwealth Games logo If you want symbolism: [1-8] Passing the torch around the world [9-16] Coming together [17-20] Individual performances, or sizing up the opposition [21-24] The combat [25-28] All together for the closing ceremony [29-32] Dispersing and heading back home
