The notes say this dance was “devised to commemorate the amazing once-in-a-lifetime snowfall in the Hutt Valley and Wellington regions in August 2011. The dance depicts the gentle snow flurries which increased in intensity falling as streamers or ropes from the sky, creating a magical winter wonderland where we were enticed to play.”
