Bars Description
1 – 8 2nd and 4th couples petronella turn to face partners up and down the set; set to partners and turn right hand once round to finish with 2nd woman facing 1st woman, 2nd man facing 3rd man, 4th woman facing 3rd woman and 4th man facing 5th man. 2nd man and 4th woman are back to back.
9 – 16 2nd woman dances a reel of three with 1st couple as 4th man dances a reel of three with 5th couple while 2nd man and 4th woman dance a reel of four with 3rd couple. All pass right shoulders to begin the reels. 2nd man and 4th woman pass right shoulders on bars 15 and 16.
17 – 18 2nd and 4th couples pass the person they are facing right shoulder and cast off or up to original places (man cast up, women cast off).
19 – 22 2nd and 4th couples turn right hand once round.
23 – 24 2nd and 4th couples cast off once place. 3rd and 5th couples step up.
25 – 30 1st and 3rd couples together and 2nd and 5th couples together dance ¾ rights and lefts and stay facing out.
31 – 32 3rd, 1st, 5th and 2nd couples set while pulling right shoulder back to finish facing in. Finish 3, 1, 5, 2, 4.
Repeat from new positions.
