The Alder tree is symbolic of strength and rebirth and a grove of black alders is situated near Urquhart Castle by the village of Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness, Scotland.
Dance devised on the occasion of Maria Ward’s 60th birthday and return to dancing after surgery. January 2012. Interlocking Set and Link devised August 2011. Bars 25-26 modified in 2016; they were “All Advance{1} and Retire{1}”.
