The name of the dance is in honor of Jack Rennie, my first teacher when I started dancing here in 1973. It wasn’t always easy to keep up the classes, but it was always Jack who would call and say he hadn’t seen me dancing in a while, and I would go back to class. I’ve had so much fun dancing over the years, thanks to a good start in Jack’s class in Santa Monica.
