The dance is dedicated to all the wake-up pipers at Scottish country dance weeks and weekends, but especially to piper Dan Emery when he plays at Pinewoods Camp as the sun’s rays break through the morning mist. Originally devised in October 1994, there were revisions to the description in August 1996, August 1997 and April 2002.
