This dance was written for Gina Barney, a very memorable character who was a highly regarded figure in the lift and safety industry. She transitioned to become Gina late in life, hence the progression in this dance with all ending on opposite sides.

As part of her SCD enthusiasm Gina hosted a residential week for the Gay Gordons group in her adopted home town of Sedbergh in May 2017.
