Notes from The Johnsonville Collection:
Devised 7/7/2017 as a simple ceilidh style dance for our Viking themed social on 8/7/2017, with many partners coming to the social.
Nordfjordeid is a town on one of the northerly fjords in Norway (Nordfjord), and is the birthplace of Sophus Lie. I spend a week there at a conference in the Sophus Lie Center. It is surrounded by quite high glacial hills fully equipped with lovely walks and waterfalls. It is the only place I have been where, for the week I was there, the sun did not set (yet the temperature did not exceed 7 degrees C, either).
