1s & 3s set & 3/4 turn partners RH into line of 4 up/down
5-8
2s & 4s set & 3/4 turn partners RH while 1s+3s dance 1/2 reel of 4. (All now in cross formation, Men at ends, 3 2 1 4 clockwise from top)
9-12
1s & 3s continue reel of 4 while 2s & 4s dance 1/2 reel of 4 across (i.e. intersecting 1/2 reels; all Men touch LH on Bar 10, Ladies on Bar 12). End in cross formation, 1 4 3 2 clockwise
13-16
1s & 3s set & 3/4 turn RH to face in Ladies on left of partner
while 2s & 4s pass partners RSh (1 bar), 2M+4M turn LH (2 bars)
while 2L, 4L loop tightly and dance in to right to end on right of partner with NHJ, then (1 bar) 2s & 4s pass LSh to end BtoB in line up/down, 1s facing 4s (M-M, L-L), 2s facing 3s likewise
17-24
1s+4s & 2s+3s dance “Rose Rondel” (same timing as Rondel, all arches made by dancers at ends):
17 All couples NHJ, 1s+4s also 2s+3s change places, with 1s/3s making arches for 4s/2s
18-19
Facing out, 2L/4L pass in front of 2M/4M & dance 1/4 round set to form new pairs NHJ at sides facing in while 1s+3s circle 4H 1/2 round to left & turn sharply away from partners (Men to right, Ladies to left) to form new pairs NHJ facing sides. (All now in line across, all Ladies on left: 2L+4M facing 3L+1M, 1L+3M facing 4L+2M)
20-22
Repeat 17-19 but turned sideways, to end back with original partners NHJ in line up/down, 1s/3s (in original places) facing 2s/4s (with Ladies on left), so M-M, L-L again facing.
23-24
1s+2s also 3s+4s change places with 1s/3s making arches, turn inward to face couple just passed
25-28
2s+1s also 3s+4s dance LH across
29-32
1s dance up, 3s dance down passing 2s/4s LSh, 1L followed by 1M & 3L followed by 3M dance down/up sides to 4th/2nd place. End 2 3 4 1
