The Fairy Bridge in Manx legend, is near Castletown in the south of the Island, and in olden times carried people over the Fairies’ dwelling. Today it is a road bridge, and it is customary for those crossing, to acknowledge the Fairies with a nod of the head and “Good (Morning) Fairies”. Those who do so are assured of good fortune that day.
