For Anders and Susanne Gjörling.
Anders and Susanne met in the Stockholm Scottish Country Dance Club in 1969. Susanne had been dancing then for a while and Anders was a drummer in the newly formed Thistle Pipe Band. He had been ordered by the Pipe Major to learn to dance, to be able to perform the sword dance at the bands performances. This initiative to bring a lot of young bandsmen together with a lot of young female dancers was very successful and Anders and Susanne’s marriage in 1973 was one of a total of four marriages not counting several other flings.
The instructions for bars 31-32 as published in the original Scandinavian Book PDF were slightly mangled in the editing process. They should read:
1st couple cross down to third place giving right hands, while 3rd couple cast up to second place to finish the reel and 2nd couple use the two bars to dance a polite turn in place.
