Devised to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the SCDC Clara in Yokohama and dedicated to Mrs Yoko Takahashi the organiser and teacher of the club.
The name and first tune of the dance come from a sad story and song based in Yokohama (not far from Tokyo). A summary of the story, about a little Japanese girl separated from her mother and raised by western missionaries, can be found at

SCD club “Clara” asked Marchan to devise a dance with this famous song, because Clara is a club in Yokohama. The Clara club made several recordings of the music for this dance featuring other Japanese hit songs with a link to Yokohama. These were played by Bluebell SCD band (piano: Akiko Kasama, fiddle: Kana Otake, recorder: Fumitaka Saito, drum: Akiyo Shito).
