The “Phare de Cordouan” is the oldest lighthouse in France (opened in 1611) and is still in activity. It watches over the estuary of the Gironde and the Atlantic Ocean.
I dedicate this dance to all the teachers and musicians who have been, and still are, my beacons (“mes phares” in French) in the world of Scottish Country Dancing.
