Devised for Mrs Margaret Allen. For many years Margaret has been the teacher and mainstay of the Cumbrae Scottish Country Dancing Association, affiliated to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Margaret also teaches a weekly class in Largs. In 2006 she started the Millport Weekend, now a regular event in the country dance calendar. The traditional tune was arranged by Meryl Thomson.
