The dance was inspired by a conversation during the long wait for the dance hall to be unlocked on a chilly evening in April. While chatting in the parking lot, we agreed that there should be a dance to keep us warm. The requirements were that it be quicktime, have as many couples active as possible, and not require the use of hands as they would be keeping warm in pockets or under arms. Michael Bentley suggested the name for the parking lot, and of course, it should be dedicated to Kathleen McAdam one of the warmest members of the San Francisco branch.
