The Leverburgh ferry runs from Leverburgh (Obbe), South Harris to Bernara , which is joined by a causeway to North Uist. The ferry zig zags across the Sound of Harris to avoid submerged rocks and other dangers. An area of 12 foot tides & strong currents.
