This dance was written for Bev Tait for her 80th birthday. Bev Tait was the Scottish Country Dance teacher for Werribee Scottish Country Dance Group for 30 years before retiring in 2018. Bev and her husband, Uilleam Tait, attained their teachers’ certificates in 1980. Uilleam would also attend the class. As a child, Rachel Goerke remembers Bev and Uilleam Tait teaching at teaching weekends in Bendigo, Victoria, during the 1980’s. Many of the Werribee Scottish Country Dance Group continue to catch up with Bev on regular basis.
