Notes from the deviser:
The name is a local Portland Oregon name for the children’s game Musical Chairs.
The dance was inspired by a performance at the Enumclaw Highland Games when Pat and I accidentally traded partners with another couple. It is a four couple jig. It starts with 1st couple position, then 2nd couple position, then back to 1st couple position and one more time from 2nd couple position. I use the word position because couples trade partner throughout the dance. The last figure of each time through has the man in 1st position and the lady in 4th position dancing to the middle of the set, turning two-handed 1 ½ times with the man ending at the 4th position men’s side and the lady ending in the 1st position ladies side. Each time through you form a new couple until at the end of the 4th time through you return to your original partner.
