The notes explain the title:
Dunvegan Castle, on the. Isle of Skye, is unique in that it has never been captured, destroyed, or even damaged by marauders.
It is the long-standing seat of Clan McLeod (MacLeod).
Dame Flora McLeod was Clan Chieftan and Chief Magistrate for many years.
In the south tower you can see the fascinating Fairy Room.
On the stairway, in a glass-fronted box, is “The Faerie Flag,” given to the family by a “Faerie,” who promised help on three occasions when it was waved.
It has been used twice successfully–at Glendale in 1490, and at Trumpan in 1580. One wish remains to be fulfilled.
