Заметки
Dance devised by Peter Jamieson and Ruth MacInnes to celebrate the October 2021 house warming of “Ardbiel” a beautiful home built by Fiona MacDonald at Farley, near Beauly in Ross-Shire.
The movements in the dance represent some of the elements of the build.
Bars 1-8
represent the complex negotiations with Highland Council Planning and Building Control departments to gain planning permission and building warrant for the innovative design.
Bars 9-16
represent the extensive mixing of the natural lime based building materials.
Bars 17-24
represent the raising of the beautiful arches which define the shape of the house and support the roof.
Bars 25-32
represent the travails of finally getting the completion certificate. (We couldn’t think of any way to elegantly represent the breaking of the laptop…)
Bars 33-40
represent the gathering of friends for the house warming.
