A dance in memory of Ron Nedderman of Cambridge, reflecting on one of his favourite sayings when teaching the Foss and Drewry class.
The dance consists of two 32 bar parts. In the the first “as I say” version all three couples end on opposite sides after the first 8 bars and dance bars 9-24 on opposite sides whereas in the second “as I mean” version they end on own sides on bar 8.
This could be considered as a 4x64 bar dance but the deviser prefers it as 8x32 as it would be possible for sets to dance just the “right” second part.
