Devised August 2019, Revised October 2019
This dance was inspired by the wonderful
Set of Song Airs
on
A Dancer's Best Friend
by the trio, Terpsichore. Since this set of airs is 6x32 bars, the dance was envisioned for a three-couple set. However the dance could be done as a standard two couple dance in a four-couple set.
As reported in
issue 3460
, when adopted by the RSCDS and published in Book 53 the RSCDS chose to describe it as for a four-couple set and also replaced the deviser’s original choice of music by a completely different set of tunes.
Both the
original
and RSCDS recordings are linked to the dance entry.
Note: The Rose Progression was devised by Rod Downey of New Zealand.
