Deviser’s Note: Although the description assumes three couples in a set, it is not a disaster if there is a different number of couples in some sets – and this is probably quite likely to happen based on my experience with similar dances.
Written for the wedding of my sister Sara Brockbank to Alex Wright near Forres on the 8th of April 2023. We were not told where the wedding would take place – we were just told to turn up to the Mosset Tavern at 2pm and a bus would take us there. The “secret location” turned out to be on the shore of Loch of Blairs on the Altyre Estate near Forres, with the bride arriving by rowing boat and the ceremony beneath the trees on the shoreside.
