The instructions for this dance, entitled only as “NO NAME PENDING TRIAL”, were found in SCD papers from the late Maureen Haynes (now in the hands of Trevor Clarke). It is not known who actually devised the dance - but is thought not to be by Maureen Haynes nor her husband Derek Haynes . Trevor Clarke writes that: Maureen never devised any dances herself. She always told us that one devisor in the family was enough!! The handwriting on the attached [copy of the instructions] is not Maureen’s The notation and wording is not “correct” as Maureen would have written it using RSCDS terminology Maureen always favoured using diagrams rather than words when analysing or writing down dance instructions. Finally, and this is only a guess as we will never know, we think it may be a project Ann Dix was working on. It seems to have a number of the features Ann used in her dances. However it has subsequently been tested (at least by Andrew Timmins 's group in Tübingen) so it has been added to the database with the only title we know of.
