Manolis discovered Scottish Country Dancing when he was 9. It was introduced to him by Sophie Marchand, his teacher at the primary school in the village of Méaudre. Manolis loves maths and recognised that any Scottish country dance is just a sequence of figures. Of course he turned to Pillings and knows the diagrams almost better than his teacher. He understands any dance at first glance! This dance represents him well. It keeps moving and there’s no time to rest. The Corner Pass and Turn remains his favourite figure for now.
