Patricia Cass played piano for the Newcastle Branch and Ladies Step classes for many years.
Deb Lees wrote this dance for Patricia together with members of the Newcastle upon Tyne and District Branch class in appreciation of her skill and commitment over the years.
It includes a reference to the dance John Cass written for her husband, but with the lady leading into the tandem reels.
Patricia played a key role in the development and organisation of the Newcastle Festival, held in February each year.
The tune February Frost was written by Kevin Lees, who enjoyed playing with Patricia for the Newcastle RSCDS teams in the Festival.
