The name of the dance is inspired by looking forward to the next 100 years of dancing in Edinburgh and elsewhere but also by what I feel have been significant changes in the city’s Scottish Country Dancing scene since returning after the Covid lockdown, as well as changes in my own life. The figures of the dance are intended to flow quickly from one to the next, representing the speed of these changes.
