Devised after a visit to Calum’s Road with the Mystic Scottish Country Dancers, October 2024.
The notes explain that:
In the 1960’s and 1970’s, Calum MacLeod, with wheelbarrow, pick and shovel, built a road from Brochel Castle to Arnish on the Isle of Raasay. Requests to the government by the small, dwindling community of Arnish for a basic road had been ignored for half a century, so Calum tried to save his community by doing the work himself.
