Circle, Man has Lady on his right
1-8
All dance Grand Chain changing places RH with partner to start & passing 4 dancers in total (2 bars per hand)
9-16
All turn 5th dancer RH to face in, retain RH & advance into centre. Man passes Lady in front into next place clockwise
17-24
Ladies 1/2 turn new partner RH, lead out & pass new partner in front into next place clockwise & turn next dancer LH
25-32
All circle left, pull back LSh & chase back

Written for the Swiss Dancers display at their first Newcastle Festival in 2025.
The Apéro is a very Swiss tradition similar to a Wine-and-Cheese or Cocktail party.
Usually held in the early evening after an event or before a dinner, the main purpose of the apéro is to chat and mingle with people; there are always snacks (crisps, nuts, dried meats, canapés) and drinks.
