This dance is dedicated to my grandma, Alison Holmes, née McOwan (1932-2024), who was among the group of children who first tried out
The Reel of the 51st Division
under Annie Cessford in Perthshire.
Her time dancing, including with the Celtic Society in St Andrews, inspired me to dance, teach, and devise.
The signature St Andrews cross figure from The Reel of the 51st Division is incorporated into this dance.
